GOT TO VEGAS ONE DAY AFTER WSOP IS OVER (BUT LIFE IS GOOD) DAY

I picked up my album from the pressing plant on Friday …. I thought the WSOP main event was over on July 18th ….. turns out it was over on the 16th (which was Monday) ….. I get to Vegas yesterday afternoon and they are wrapping up interviews with the last of the final 9 for the final table of the Main Event.

There was a press room here for the last two months that I could have flooded with all my music and my concept behind the album, etc.  I missed them by a matter of hours ….  I could’ve made it too over the weekend but I was so used to flying out of AC that i didn’t realize until Sunday night I could fly out of Philly.

I got a one way flight out of Philly and 3 nights at the Rio for $295.00.  I’m not even tripping out missing the poker audience or the press.  The album is still done — i just have to adjust my marketing.

On the way here I listened to the Nas LIFE IS GOOD album.  The album is so good I almost cried.  One because I listened to a really good hip-hop album for what I feel like was the first time in years and the other was because I felt like my album (with all the samples) and a half-old school feel is not that far from what I think is good work of art.   I think I just felt vindicated, even with all the bull—- I went through to complete this album.  At the end of the day your trying to make some art and complete your idea.  I did that so I feel good.

I’m trying to break even for the trip money-wise playing small Omaha at the Venetian tonight.   I’m $500 which is what I think the trip should cost.  If I can get the album on Cardplayer and/  or the 2+2 forum I’m happy.  That’s really what i’m trying to accomplish.
