Sept. 09, 2011 at Borgata Casino Game : $10-$20 Omaha Hi-Lo 10 Hr / $375.00 = $37.50 / Hr The conversation I had the day before with one of my friends made me question what I'm doing on a much greater level than usual. I know better than to have conversations about gambling for a living with people that don't because it's very hard for them to grasp what it is you do and why. On this particular day I couldn't grasp it myself. I wondered whether most of my friends would say I have a gambling problem if you asked them --- both professional poker players and non-poker players. It's such a catch-22 situation; if you are losing does that mean u suck at poker or does it mean you are running bad or that you have a gambling problem? My head was pretty twisted up by the time I finally fell asleep. It lingered with me even though I wound up having a winning day today and basically getting my buy-in from the tournament back. I'm worried becuase all I'm doing is breaking even and this is the month to try and get ahead. ...

Sept. 08th, 2011 at Borgata Casino Game : Omaha HI-Lo Mulit-Table Tournament # of Opponents : 199 4 Hrs / -$400.00 = -$80.00 / Hr I decided to play this tournament because I thought it was my best game and I got caught up in the hype of all the other Omaha players playing. I realized after I got in it I had made a serious mistake. I really felt bad after I busted out of this one. I wound up talking with a friend about gambling for a living that doesn't gamble for a living but gambles for recreation and that conversation wound up making me stressed than I already was. I'm gonna talk about that conversation more later. ...

Sept. 7th, 2011 at Borgata Casino Game : Multi - Table Tournament No Limit Hold 'Em # of Opponents : 1788 Placement : 750 First I have to apologize to the readers of my blog. I have been slacking off with the blog posts to say the least. Not to mention losing my mind. The first tournament of the Borgata Open series is usually the one with the largest field and this one was no exception : 1788 entries. The big blind had me covered in chips and he was a young aggressive guy who called my raise with a smirk on his face like " how dare I raise his big blind"... No Waiting for Our Hero though as the 8 comes right on the turn. Once u beat the bad players you have the Internet players shoving every draw trying to get chips. It's like fighting a battle and having to get through the infantry men and then the airstrike. ...

Sept. 6th, 2011 at Borgata Casino This Tuesday it's 75 K due to kicking off the Borgata Poker Open which kicks off tomorrow. I wind up getting 46th after hitting two modern miracles on the river on two hands. I win $500 .... Again I wind u breaking even for the day and spending the whole day in the room when I could be doing something else. This is the part that makes doing this me think I'm crazy. ...

Knew it was gonna be a restless night because I wasn't sure what game to play ---- I thought I was playing my best game and it was less volatile than losing a bunch of money on one hand .... When ure plan gets challenged it makes u feel lost .... It came in my head when I left the house not to panic ---- OK ......
